A REALTOR® helps their clients with one of their most important decisions in life, selling and buying a home. This can be even more complicated if the parties are involved in divorce proceedings. Divorce listings can be very complex. Many listing that are the result of a divorce fail or buyers walk away out of frustration with the process and parties.

RRC’s program is being designed to help agents learn the family law basics so they be more effective when speaking with clients and guiding them through the process of listing their home or buying a home. It will focus on helping the agents maintain neutrality by putting them through common contentious situations and role-play exercises with a focus on helping them develop techniques to prevent potential disaster moments.

  • Explain the implications of community property and equitable distribution in different states on a divorce proceeding
  • Explain common points of intersection between divorce attorneys and real estate agents

RRC, RRC States, and licensees reserve the right to cancel any scheduled course. If a course is cancelled, registrants will be notified via email or phone and will be given a full refund. RRC, RRC States, and licensees are not responsible for any expenses incurred by the registrant due to cancellation. Class cancellations by a participant will be accepted until one week prior to the event. Cancellations will be refunded minus a $25 administrative fee. No shows will be charged the full registration amount.
