Amy Kong attributes
her success to initiating her client relationships on trust, growing
them with sincerity, and solidifying them with her performance. Amy is
highly driven by the satisfaction she feels in knowing that her clients
are raising their families and growing their wealth in the homes she
helped them attain.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Amy moved to San Francisco in 1988 and
soon landed her first real estate job in Chinatown. Her previous career
in telemarketing helped her adjust to her new role, but she knew that
only a tenacious mindset would push her forward. She helped modernize
her office’s administrative systems, learned everything she could about
the industry, and took advantage of the many professional educational
opportunities available to her. The rest is history: Amy has been
leading clients to success throughout the Bay Area ever since.
Amy credits knowledge as a pivotal key to success, and learning is her
constant pursuit. She holds an impressive handful of designations,
including Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Certified Real Estate
Brokerage Manager (CRB), and Certified Distressed Property Expert
(CDPE). Honesty and integrity are the core values that her parents
instilled in her from a young age. Those values are apparent in her
career and also her community outreach efforts: She’s prolific in causes
that enhance the rights of property owners. Among her various local and
national endeavors, Amy was the 2011 Chinese Real Estate Association of
America (CREAA) President, the 2017-2019 Asian Real Estate Association
of America (AREAA) Education Foundation Chair, and is the 2021 AREAA
President-Elect.
Despite all of her community work, Amy finds time to indulge in her
hobbies, which include hiking, badminton, watching movies, choir
singing, and, not surprisingly, house hunting! She is bilingual in
English and Cantonese.
