I hope that all of you are doing well and able to enjoy your summer. Life is a bit crazy these days for everyone. Doing our best to stay safe wherever we are and while conducting business.
Make sure you take the time to do things that you love and make you happy. It helps to get you out of the Covid 19 rut. Last week 6 of us including my husband, my daughter and her boyfriend and two of our closest friends went to St. Thomas for a week and it was just what the doctor ordered.
St. Thomas was the comfortable place for us to go having been there 6 prior times and having many friends on the island. They take their mask wearing seriously and are on top of the Covid situation. The best part besides moments with great friends, was that when you are in the water the only mask you need is a snorkel mask if you choose to snorkel. All of us that went and those we visited with had been in voluntary quarantine for some time.
I cannot tell you what it did for me to just make that journey. So, do what you can safely. Travel somewhere that makes you happy and you feel safe about visiting. I got through the previous months just by knowing the trip was coming and I feel much more relaxed now.
So, go have some safe fun.
We have lots of great things going on here at California RRC, all of which you can participate in while at home. We have an exciting lineup of activities during CRS week, Sept 21st thru Sept. 25th and a great Summer Zoom schedule. Please join our California RRC Facebook group to keep up with what is going on.
I have coupon codes for non-members who want to save $60 on becoming a member and for waiving the $55 reinstatement fee for lapsed members/designees.
If you would like to join or get reinstated, please give me a call or email and I can help you save some money.
If you would like to talk about getting involved by volunteering please reach out as well.
One last thing. California RRC has chosen Alzheimer’s Association as our RRC with a Heart charity this year. Almost everyone has been touched by this disease in some way or other. For me, I lost both of my parents to the disease.
Since there are not going to be any large walk gatherings, you can still sign up and fundraise to help out.
Below is the link to the team if you would like to join or donate.
