Dave Chomitz, CRS

Having been a real estate broker for 18 years serving the lakeshore area east of Toronto it’s always been my goal to provide the highest level of service possible to my clients. After serving the required 2 year internship I opened my own brokerage and it was during this time that I realized how important it was to constantly upgrade my skills and knowledge. It also became very apparent that the Ontario real estate industry was sadly lacking in any ongoing training program that was both useful and relevant to real estate professionals. It was with the advent of Buyer Agency that I was introduced to the training available in the United States. At every coarse I took, at every convention I went to, any agent with a “CRS” designation was immediately received and considered above the rest. First because they were recognized as “producers” ..but more importantly it was because everyone knew that to qualify they had to make the commitment to advanced education. They were a cut above.

I knew I wanted to gain this designation, because I believed that in earning it I would become better … a better Realtor with better, more advanced and up to date skills and programs for my clients … but also a better business operator, better equipped to use the resources I have to improve the product I supply.

What's a CRS?

The Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) is the highest Designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field. The CRS Designation recognizes professional accomplishments in both experience and education.

Since 1977 the Council of Residential Specialists has been conferring the CRS Designation on agents who meet its stringent requirements. Currently, there are more than 34,000 active CRS Designees.

Why Use a CRS?
