Duties of CRS

The Council offers the following support to help you present Core or One-unit Courses.

Core CRS Courses

The Council will:

  • Help the sponsor promote courses by sending out blast e-mails, mailing labels and marketing materials (CRS Resource Guide) upon request.
  • Obtain and maintain licensing continuing education credit for states where it is applicable. Some states require the sponsor to apply for the continuing education credit. In these case, the Council provides materials and assistance to do so. Please contact Regina Harvey, continuing education coordinator.  For Continuing Education credit eligibility in your state, click here.
  • Assign an instructor to each course and reimburse instructors for travel and speaking fees.
  • Send course outlines, exams, evaluation forms, exam answer sheets, product and continuing education forms (when applicable) to course sponsor at least three days prior to the start of the course.
  • Grade student exams, e-mail a link to CRS completion certificates and final course roster, provide continuing education certificates (when applicable) or notification and post credit to each student’s record.

CRS Approved One-Unit Courses

The Council will:

  • Provide each approved one-day course sponsor with Product Catalogs, Resource Guides and CRS Membership Information.
  • Mail student evaluation forms and exam answer sheets to each course.
  • Include the approved one-day course (when properly notified by the sponsor or instructor) on the course schedule
  • Process student evaluations.
  • Grade student exams (upon instructor's request), provide notification of grades to students, and post credit to each student's record.
  • E-Mail course certificates after the royalty fee, alphabetized roster, evaluations and examinations have been received from the course instructor or sponsor.
